Festivities kick off from 7.00pm on 31 December, featuring free community activities across the precinct. As the clock approaches midnight, all eyes will turn skyward for a 35-minute fireworks extravaganza, set to illuminate the skyline in dazzling colour. The night’s energy peaks with the Countdown 2026 Concert at The Kallang, headlined by K-pop legends Super Junior, alongside regional artiste Cheng Huan and local singers.

This year also marks the debut of The Kallang Pass, a new signature experience for the annual celebrations. One lucky winner will walk away with a pair of tickets granting year-long access to selected sports and entertainment events in 2026 at the National Stadium and Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Travel light and be weather-ready
Bring only essentials and consider packing a poncho, as year-end weather can be unpredictable. Ponchos will also be available for purchase at stalls across the precinct. In the event of bad weather, follow instructions from ground staff.

Arrive early and take public transport
Free activities begin from 7.00pm, and live crowd updates will be available via the Crowd@Kallang portal from 8.30pm. The public is strongly encouraged to take public transport, as road congestion is expected. The Kallang is served by Stadium MRT, with nearby access via Tanjong Rhu, Mountbatten and Kallang MRT stations. Train and bus services will be extended on New Year’s Eve.

Venue Closures and Access Restrictions

To manage crowd flow, limited access will be imposed at selected areas. The Tanjong Rhu Suspension Footbridge and Merdeka Bridge footways will have restricted access from 11.30pm (31 December) to 12.15am (1 January 2026). The Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower will be closed on 31 December 2025 and 1 January 2026.

The Countdown 2026 Concert at The Kallang takes place at Stadium Roar, which is accessible only to ticket holders and will reopen to the public on 5 January 2026. Access to other venues, including Beach Volleyball Court, Lawn Bowls, Promenade at National Stadium, Splash-N-Surf and Water Sports Centre, will also be affected during the event.

All visitors are advised to follow instructions from Singapore Police Force officers, security personnel and ground staff on site.

Food, Safety and Crowd Management

Food and beverage kiosks will operate at OCBC Square and Stadium Riverside Walk, while selected Kallang Wave Mall tenants will extend their operating hours to keep partygoers fuelled and hydrated throughout the night.

Comprehensive safety and crowd-control measures will be in place, with visitors encouraged to stay patient, vigilant and considerate. Looking out for one another will help ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for all.

Heading Home After Midnight

Crowd dispersal is expected to be slow due to high turnout. Visitors are encouraged to follow on-site signage and plan their journey home in advance, with ground staff on hand to assist.
