A MOM spokesperson told 8 World News that the incident could have resulted in more serious injuries, but the worker was able to jump out in time.

The injured worker was employed by T.A.G Construction, while the general contractor managing the site is HLBC.

MOM confirmed that it was alerted to the incident at the same time as the SCDF.

Following the event, the ministry ordered all work at the site to cease. Contractors have been instructed to carry out a comprehensive review of safety measures.

The site, located near Holland Road in Astrid Hill, is currently under investigation.

MOM is working to determine the cause of the truck’s sudden movement and to assess whether proper safety protocols were in place at the time.
