SINGAPORE, 21 DECEMBER 2024The Singapore Men’s National Team return from a successful foray north of the Causeway, with a battling 0-0 draw with rivals Malaysia in Group A of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™. The draw earned Tsutomu Ogura’s men a ticket to the semi-finals – against the winners of Group B – with the first leg of that semi-final to be hosted at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Thursday, 26 December.

Tickets for the match start from S$24, and will go on sale from 12pm on Sunday, 22 Dec.

The Lions launched their ASEAN Championship campaign at the National Stadium with a 2-1 win over Cambodia. It was followed by a 3-0 victory over Timor-Leste in Vietnam before they welcomed 22,611 fans to the National Stadium in their 4-2 loss to Thailand on 17 Dec.

But the home leg of the semi-finals will be held at the 6,000-seater Jalan Besar Stadium, following a late tournament schedule change that saw the National Stadium unavailable for this match and the rest of the tournament, having already been booked for concerts during this period.

To ensure that only Singapore fans secure tickets to the home fan section and lend their voice to the Lions’ battle for a spot in the final, tickets will only be available for purchase on-site at Jalan Besar Stadium.

In order to ensure that Singapore fans stand the best chance of procuring tickets, proof of identity will be required to be shown, but the in-person sales process ensures that no personal data will be collected.

Each person is limited to a purchase of 4 tickets per transaction in order to provide as many fans as possible to have the opportunity to secure a seat at the stadium. Sales will kick off at noon tomorrow.

Building on the move to improve fan engagement – a move that has already seen legends of the Singapore game like Radojko Avramovic, Abbas Saad, Malek Awab, and Jang Jung brought back to reconnect with fans – there will be food and beverage options on offer at Sunday’s ticket sales, merchandise booths and some entertainment, with ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™ partners also lending their weight to the initiative.

Ticket prices (excluding ticketing fee)

  • Category 1: S$49
  • Category 2: S$35
  • Category 3: S$24

To avoid disappointment, Singapore fans are encouraged to head down to Jalan Besar to purchase their semi-final tickets, and to soak up the festive atmosphere.

Away tickets sales

The some 300 seats in the away section are only for away fans, and tickets that priced at S$38 will only be made available for sale on matchday, 26 Dec, from 3:00pm to 30 minutes prior to the conclusion of the match.

Away fans are only allowed to purchase tickets in the away section. In the interest of safety and enjoyment of all spectators, match organisers reserve the right to deny entry to away fans holding home section tickets, and to eject away fans seated in home sections.
