The Workshop Tour Asia – Singapore receives sponsor backing as the Lion City opens its doors to global football fraternity

SINGAPORE, 12 JUNE 2025 – The Singapore football fraternity will open its doors to the Aspire in the World Fellows next week, with the Jalan Besar Stadium hosting The Workshop Tour Asia – Singapore.

 

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce that Hudl, Polar Mineral Water, Orchard Hotel and Fullerton Health will stand alongside FAS and the Aspire Academy as event sponsors, with the Singapore Tourism Board also supporting the event.

The Workshop Tour Asia – Singapore will bring together leading minds in football performance, analytics, and sports science in an event centred on learning and exchange. Theory and practical sessions on 16 and 17 June will be conducted by representatives from top-tier football organisations the likes of Liverpool, Juventus and the Italian FA, the event will feature special guests Mike Phelan, former Manchester United Assistant Manager, and Tadanari Lee, former Japan international and 2011 AFC Asian Cup winner.

“We are proud to host an event of this stature, which reflects our ambition to play a more active role in the global football dialogue,” said FAS General Secretary, Mr Chew Chun-Liang, of the event that will kick off with participants gathering to watch the Singapore Women’s National team take on Hong Kong, China in an international friendly at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium on 15 June.

 

The Workshop will see sustainability initiatives in play, with paperless and Bring-Your-Own-Bottle polices in place and recycling encouraged among participants.

 

The event will wrap up with a corporate social responsibility initiative on 18 June – a football clinic with beneficiaries brought together by FAS’ community partner, Singapore Pools.

 

Mr Chew added: “The event is an excellent opportunity for local coaches, sport scientists, as well as medical practitioners to learn from the best in the world. And it is also heartening to have the support of our valued sponsors and partners, who stand alongside us as we welcome the international football community to Singapore.”
