The Great Picnic Hangout is back at Great World Atrium, Level 1, from 1 to 30 September 2025. Now in its second edition, this holiday event promises bigger thrills, tastier bites, and fresh new highlights for kids and adults alike.
New This Year: Giant Picnic-Themed Inflatables
Little ones can dive into a snack-inspired wonderland with three custom-designed inflatables:



- Fruit Bouncer
- Sweet Treats
- Snack Playland
These oversized playgrounds bring a picnic fantasy to life, perfect for energetic play—and Instagram-worthy snapshots. Adding to the fun, Picnic Funland by Uncle Ringo offers carnival-style thrills, including the classic Teacup Ride (tickets at $7 per ride).

Movie Nights Under the Stars (Indoors!)
At 7pm daily, the atrium transforms into a cosy picnic cinema with free blockbuster screenings. The line-up includes family favourites like Frozen 2 (8 Sep), Toy Story 3 (11 Sep), and Moana (14 Sep).
To set the mood, Aureus Academy will host special 15-minute live performances before selected screenings:
- 12 Sep (6:15pm) – Inside Out themed performance
- 14 Sep (6:15pm) – Moana themed performance
Moviegoers can also redeem a Movie Fun Pack (200 Great Rewards Points, capped daily) filled with snacks and vouchers, including McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets, Ryan’s Grocery treats, and discounts from Bangkok Jam, Subway, Ritz Apple Strudel, and more.

Shoppers can take the Great Picnic Hangout Personality Quiz to find their movie-inspired match whether it’s Frosty the Snowman (Frozen 2) or Koko the Coconut (Moana). Complete the quiz, then head to Customer Service to claim a sweet surprise linked to your character.
Workshops & Hands-On Fun
From 11am–5pm daily, kids can join interactive activities including:
- Storytelling & craft-making by The Eton Academy
- Art colouring workshops with Abrakadoodle
- 3D pen creations with MyFirst
- DIY Sunshine Stickies with Uncle Ringo
- Face painting, name tag making, shrink film keychains, sling bag crafts & more
Foodie Favourites
A picnic isn’t complete without snacks. Families can refuel with:
- Fresh subs from Subway
- Flaky pastries from Ritz Apple Strudel
- Thai delights from Bangkok Jam
- Classic popcorn from Uncle Ringo
