Starting 8 August 2025, the Singapore Flyer unveils a transformed experience that blends history, culture, and technology into a breathtaking 75-minute journey, just in time for Singapore’s 60th year of independence.
At the heart of the new experience is an enhanced Time Capsule, now a fully immersive two-storey prelude to the Flyer ride, reimagined with cutting-edge multimedia, interactive exhibits, and a personalised web app. Visitors are invited to rediscover the nation’s evolution, from ancient legends to modern marvels, before ascending for panoramic city views atop one of the world’s tallest observation wheels.
Relive History With R65 the Time-Traveling Robot

Guided by R65, a charming time-travelling robot, guests explore a multisensory trail created with creative studio Untitled Project. Journey back to the 1200s with projection mapping, LiDAR technology, and cinematic storytelling that vividly brings to life:
- Dawn of Singapura: Join Sang Nila Utama’s legendary voyage and the founding of Singapore.
- Maritime Silk Road: Meet friendly traders Ping An and Ahmed and uncover Singapore’s role in global trade.
- People of the Sea: Hear the origin story of the Orang Laut and their part in shaping Singapura.
- Badang the Magnificent: Witness the legendary strength of Singapore’s mythical hero.
- Island Tales: Discover the folklore of Redhill, Pulau Ubin, Kusu Island, and Sentosa.
- The Singapore River: Stroll along an interactive river teeming with history from hawkers to shophouses.
- Under One Sky: Sit at a nostalgic concrete chess-tile table as a 300-degree projection sweeps you through decades of transformation.
Cultural Identity and Modern Flourish

Level 2 dives into the richness of Singapore’s multicultural identity through vivid displays and interactive installations:
- Peranakan Walk: Celebrate Peranakan heritage with kaleidoscopic exhibits and batik-inspired fabric displays.
- Red Dot: Be surrounded by a vibrant medley of cultural festivals in an immersive projection room.
- Garden City Playground: Engage with Singapore’s green identity through playful, interactive showcases.
Using the Time Capsule web app, visitors can scan QR codes to meet life-sized digital characters and unlock deeper stories; all enhanced with complimentary WiFi.
Take Flight with FLYER360
The immersive journey ascends into the sky as guests board the Singapore Flyer, soaring 165 metres above the skyline. With the FLYER360 mobile app, powered by augmented reality, the city’s landmarks come alive with insightful stories, completing a uniquely Singaporean odyssey from ground to sky.
Celebrate SG60 with Art, Eats, and Extended Hours
As part of the SG60 festivities, Whimsical Reality, a permanent art gallery at the Flyer curated by artist Ah Guo, will debut “A Little Whimsical Salute,” a triptych showcasing Singapore’s evolution from the 1960s to today.
From 6 to 10 August, the Flyer’s waterfront night market returns, offering street eats and live performances. On National Day (9 August), operating hours will extend until 12:30am. Special promotions include exclusive ticket bundles for Singaporeans and PRs, along with celebratory dining deals at 165 Sky Dining and Sky View Pavilion.
