Imperium Cloud Games (CIG), the developers behind Star CitizenShe announced her separation, Squadron 42on the right track for 2026 release date.
As part of CitizenCon 2024, CIG president Chris Roberts revealed more information about the single-player story-driven indie space adventure, stating that the team is “confident” it will release in 2026 and that the game will offer over 30 hours of gameplay. .

Roberts' announcement came after a live demo of the game, which unfortunately suffered from numerous crashes and bugs. Roberts commented, “We said we were doing this live, and at the risk of the demo gods bringing their wrath upon us, we feel confident that we can take the quality of the game to the level we've just demonstrated and beyond, without incident.”
The demo showed off a long portion of the game's intro, consisting of flashy cutscenes mixed with both on-rails and first-person shooter clips while showcasing the star-studded cast of Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, Mark Strong, and Henry Cavill. “Aside from the crashes, there's probably no other game that has a premise that's as action-packed,” Roberts said.
