The Football Association of Singapore (FAS), in collaboration with the Aspire in the World Fellows network, will host The Workshop Tour Asia – Singapore, 16-18 June 2025. The Workshop Tour will be led by the FAS Football Science and Medicine Department, and co-organised with the Aspire Academy.
The Workshop – that will bring speakers and coaches from leading football institutions around the world to the Jalan Besar Stadium – is complimentary to all coaches and sport scientists as well as medical practitioners.
Theoretical sessions
Participants can expect an insightful programme that will include on-field sessions. The theoretical component, held in the afternoon of the 16th and 17th, will feature topics such as performance enhancement and injury prevention, youth player development, mental skills training, performance nutrition, and talent identification. These sessions will be conducted by representatives from some of the world top football institutions, including Juventus, The Football Association (FA), Aspire Academy, and the Italian FA.
Practical sessions
The practical sessions, scheduled in the evenings, will be led by experienced coaches from top clubs such as AFC Ajax, Liverpool FC, and FC Porto. Topics will include coaching philosophy, technical development, fast attacking transitions, and in-game scenario training. The sessions are designed to provide attendees with a direct look at high-performance training methodologies employed at elite levels of the game.
Guest speakers
The programme will also include ‘Star Chat’ segments featuring special guests. On the 16th, Tadanari Lee, former Japan international and 2011 AFC Asian Cup winner, will take the stage. Former Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan will share insights from his decades of experience at the highest levels of professional football the next day.
