The Singapore River Festival (SRF) returns from 12 to 21 September 2025, and this year, the city’s iconic celebration takes on a bold new look with its first-ever Design Edition. Presented by Singapore River One (SRO) in partnership with the DesignSingapore Council and spotlighted as a key highlight of Singapore Design Week, the festival transforms the historic river into a living showcase of light, creativity, and connection.

Rooted in the theme of storytelling and design, SRF 2025 honours the Singapore River’s rich past while reimagining its future perfectly aligned with SG60’s spirit of “Building Our Singapore Together.”
Boat Quay – Immersive Riverfront Experiences
Step into River of Dreams by Cinewav, a multi-sensory journey blending audio storytelling, AI-generated soundscapes, and synchronised bridge lighting. The show recounts a young man’s discovery of his father’s past during the 1978 flood, a moving reflection on memory and resilience. The quay will also pulse with Rhythmic Symphony, showcasing homegrown musical talents from soul-stirring vocalists to energetic beats.

Clarke Quay – Community Fun with a Furry Twist
Clarke Quay comes alive with SingaPaw Dream, featuring pet cruises, playful challenges, and a bustling marketplace for pet lovers. Sanrio fans can also join the My Melody & Kuromi Kawaii Walk: a 2.5km or 4km community walk celebrating the beloved characters, alongside themed pop-ups and activities.
Robertson Quay – Creative Markets & Riverside Cinema
Explore the Dreamriver Market curated by Sunday Social Market, spotlighting local artisans and sustainable living. End the evening under the stars at Starlight Cinema by the River, an outdoor screening of Elemental powered by Cinewav for a noise-free, immersive experience.

Symphony of Lights – Bridges Transformed
Cavenagh, Read, and Robertson Bridges will glow as light artist Light Collab turns each into a radiant canvas, weaving stories of heritage, connection, and community. Visitors can also tune in via the Cinewav app for a specially curated music playlist while crossing the bridges.

Rhythmic Symphony – Homegrown Stars Take the Stage
Catch an eclectic line-up featuring lewloh, Shazza, and SMU Samba Masala as they light up the River Promenade with soulful vocals and infectious rhythms.

Singapore River Signatures – A Month of Flavours
From Boat Quay to Robertson Quay, restaurants present exclusive dishes inspired by the river ranging from bold reimaginations of local favourites to inventive modern Asian creations.
Workshops & Fringe Experiences
SRF 2025 also invites you to create, explore, and rediscover the river:

- Singapore River Passport: Collect stamps at checkpoints across the quays for a chance to redeem a limited-edition Singapura Otter patch.
- Workshops: Upcycle accessories with Studio29 or craft wire art sculptures with sculptor Yeo Chee Kiong.
- Guided Tours: Capture architectural gems with photographer Joseph Goh, cruise through the river’s design evolution with The Urbanist Singapore, or step back to the 1950s with a storytelling boat tour complete with heritage snacks.
A Festival with Purpose
SRF 2025 deepens its sustainability efforts, with select events powered by clean-energy batteries to save an estimated 7.5 tonnes of carbon emissions exceeding last year’s impact. Noise-reducing, energy-efficient Cinewav technology will also enhance audio experiences throughout the festival.
