Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced the launch of new direct flights connecting Phuket (HKT) with Jeddah (JED) and Riyadh (RUH), strengthening ties between Thailand and the Kingdom. The inaugural flights, which began on 2 December 2024, mark a major milestone in enhancing travel, trade, and cultural exchange between the two nations.
Inaugural Celebrations at Phuket International Airport
The launch was commemorated with vibrant send-off ceremonies at Phuket International Airport, attended by VIPs from Saudia, Airports of Thailand, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The events underscored a shared vision of fostering closer connections and boosting tourism and commerce.
Route Details and Frequency
- Phuket to Jeddah (HKT to JED): Three flights per week.
- Phuket to Riyadh (HKT to RUH): Three flights per week.
