These accolades come amid fierce competition from world-class projects submitted by over 80 countries.

Gaia: A Sustainability Icon

Gaia, Asia’s largest timber building, located at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and designed in collaboration with Toyo Ito & Associates, Architects, was awarded the Jury Winner in the Sustainable Institutional Building category. This prestigious Sustainability Award acknowledges architecture and design firms that are actively advancing a more sustainable built environment. Gaia was celebrated for its innovative design that considers local characteristics while setting a positive precedent for greener building practices both regionally and globally.

Changi Terminal 2, designed in partnership with Paris-based BOIFFILS Architectures, won the Popular Choice Winner award in the Transport Interiors category. The project was lauded for its relaxing and organic space inspired by Singapore’s garden city, enhancing the travel experience with its soothing environment.

Celebrating Creative Courage

The Architizer A+Awards, a globally recognized architectural accolade, highlights the exceptional work of architects and designers who push beyond the status quo. This year’s theme celebrated creative courage, emphasizing architects’ ability to meet clients’ evolving needs, address the growing climate crisis, and embrace the rapid evolution of technology. The award program received an unprecedented number of submissions, evaluated by an illustrious international jury panel and the global public.
