We sampled a range of dishes from the updated menu, starting with the Chutney & Raita (2 for $10 & 3 for $14) selection, a vibrant array of house-made dips served with papads and crackers.

Among the small plates, Papi’s Jammed Gun ($29) stands out.

A luxurious wagyu beef tartare served with crispy papdi, caviar, grated egg, and signature gunpowder spice, we also sampled the vegetarian version which features beetroot tartare and Moai caviar, delivering the same umami depth without meat.

We love the presentation in a tin can, served like exquisite caviar.

Another standout is This Is Also Not Aloo Gobi ($18), a creative deconstruction of the classic dish featuring Romanesco cauliflower, spiced potato foam, and cashew-raisin vinaigrette. The result is light, elegant, and deeply flavorful.

One of the most memorable new additions for us was The Nut Kraken ($32), grilled octopus cooked pollichathu-style in banana leaf, served with coconut chips and a sweet-smoky Kerala-style sauce. We seldom see octopus served in an Indian restaurant and this was an interesting presentation that is also delicious.

Next, the Big Baller Peperoner ($28) offers a fun take on the classic paneer Manchurian, swapping in fried burrata coated in a tangy Manchurian chilli sauce. It presents a hint of fire that accent the sweetness of the burrata well. We have many burratas, but this is a unique one, in a good way.

Rich, creamy, and packed with umami, it was a dish that surprises with every bite.

For mains, Awadh We Go ($45) is a hearty, meat-free main starring portobello kofta stuffed with potatoes, served over black lentils and nihari jus.

Earthy, spicy, and deeply satisfying.

We also tried Back In The Saddle ($21 per 100g), tandoori-spiced lamb with confit garlic and curry leaves, another star of the night for us.

The sauce makes for the perfect dip with the signature naans and the lamb was cooked beautifully to a soft pink, tender and moist texture.

The signature naans at Firangi Superstar includes the Black Garlic or Smoked Mozzarella, perfect for mopping up every last drop of sauce. The texture is softer and more bread-like compared to regular naans.

For desserts, the Rasmalai Tres Leches reinvents the classic Indian sweet as a delicate cake soaked in rose-saffron cream and topped with pistachios and saffron ice cream. This is very beautiful in presentation.

Next, the Rhum Baba Jamun ($18) with Orange Curd and Chantilly presents a modern intepretation of a classic sweet item into a fluffy cake-like dessert dish.

The new cocktail menu is just as thoughtful. Spirit-forward options like the Amli Sour ($25), a vegetarian-friendly whiskey sour with amla and Kashmiri chili; and Bru O’Fashion ($25), a coffee-old fashioned hybrid, cater to strong-drink lovers.

Lighter, refreshing choices include Guava Jalwa ($24), a tequila-based cocktail with a chilli chaat masala rim, and Monsoon In Goa ($24), a tropical twist on the Jungle Bird.

For non-drinkers, the zero-proof Royal Melon Lassi ($20) blends rock melon with creamy lassi and warming spices.

With its film-set-like rooms, inventive dishes, and expertly crafted drinks, Firangi Superstar offers a fresh and exciting take on Indian cuisine with their refreshed menu that is looking to keep guests curious, comfortable, and coming back for more.
