[Review] A Curated Christmas Feast with All the Festive Essentials at Element, Amara Singapore

We popped by Element at Amara Singapore last Friday evening to check out their festive offering for the year. The hotel is situated right in the middle of Tanjong Pagar, near the MRT station, which makes it a very convenient spot if you are working in the CBD.

The vibe was relaxed when we arrived, even though the restaurant was packed for the night. The buffet spread itself is quite compact compared to what you might find at larger hotels. You will not find endless rows of dishes here, but they do cover the essentials that most Singaporeans look for.

The main reason to visit is definitely the Seafood-on-Ice station.

It features the heavy hitters like Boston Lobster, Poached King Crab legs, and freshly shucked oysters. This is likely where you will get the most value for your money. The quality was decent and the items were replenished reasonably fast.

There is also a Japanese counter next to it with standard sashimi options like salmon, tuna, and octopus, along with some aburi sushi rolls.

For the cooked food, the selection is limited, but curated to cover a few western, chinese and indian fares each, ranging from the Nasi Briyani to Stir Fried Black Pepper Pork.

For vegetarians, they have the standard bread, salad and fruits stations.

The festive carving station offers the seasonal Roasted Prime Rib, Traditional Roasted Turkey, and Honey Baked Ham.

We actually found the local favorites like the Soto Ayam from the live noodle station to be a reliable comfort food option if you get tired of seafood or western fare.

Dessert followed the same theme of keeping things curated while still offering all the essentials. There was a spread of Christmas Stollen, Pecan Tart, and Apple Crumble. Plus, a selection of nonya kueh presented in a pretty pull-out drawer.

Overall, if you are looking for a convenient location, a reliable festive menu with all the essentials and at a fair price, Element’s buffet is a suitable choice.

Dinner is priced at $108 per person while lunch is $78, running from 1now to 31 December 2025.
