SINGAPORE, 26 FEBRUARY 2025 – The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) will be conducting the 2025 FAS Goalkeeping ‘C’ Certificate Course in April and May 2025, with registration now open for interested applicants.
The course will be conducted in two parts:
- Part 1: 3rd April – 6th April 2025 (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Part 2: 2nd May – 4th May 2025 (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Post-Course Segment: 4th May – 4th November 2025 (Work Experience & Practical Assessments)
The registration fee for this course is S$1500 per participant, and it is not SkillsFuture claimable. Interested applicants must register via this link by 14 March 2025. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified by 21 March 2025, and all course payments must be completed by 28 March 2025.
Potential participants must hold a valid FAS/AFC ‘C’ Diploma (SG-Coach Level 1 Full Integration) or an equivalent licence to be eligible for the course.
The FAS Goalkeeping ‘C’ Certificate Course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to coach goalkeepers effectively. The course focuses on technical, functional, and integrated goalkeeping sessions, allowing participants to plan, prepare, and deliver sessions with structured feedback from peers and course tutors.
This course is designed for those who aspire to develop goalkeepers at the School Football Academy, Primary/Secondary/Junior College levels, Singapore Youth League, and Centres of Excellence (COEs).
At the end of the course, participants will:
- Understand the role of the goalkeeper within a team structure
- Maintain a high standard of conduct in their coaching environment
- Create a safe and structured learning environment for goalkeepers
- Organise and develop sessions that enhance goalkeepers’ technique and decision-making ability
- Identify and correct goalkeeping situations effectively
- Integrate players into goalkeeping training sessions
Participants will receive two sets of attire (jerseys, shorts, and socks) and one polo shirt. They are also required to bring writing materials and a laptop/iPad/tablet with a session planner app installed.
