A collaboration between Jigger & Pony Group and The House of Suntory, this cocktail bar is one of the most dynamic in the CBD. There are four distinct zones that guests can move through at their own pace, including the Byōbu Bar, which features a hand-painted, embroidered traditional folding screen it’s named after, and Bar Mixtape, a listening room lined with CDs and whiskies.
The menu is inspired by Japan’s music, design and modern subcultures – Strawberry Love Punch, for instance, draws on City Pop classic Plastic Love by Mariya Takeuchi and the wonderfully compelling HØJ1CHA €SPR€$$Ø MART1N1 is a nod to Japanese techno artist ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U. Seasonal cocktails, like the beautifully balanced Shiitake Mushroom Negroni, drop every month. The atmosphere is lively and sometimes shoulder-to-shoulder intimate, especially when a popular DJ slides in to crank out the tunes.
