As Singapore approaches the Year of the Horse in 2026, Old Seng Choong, a brand deeply rooted in heritage and founded by renowned pastry chef Daniel Tay as a tribute to his father, has unveiled a fresh new collection designed to honour this spirit of unity.

For the upcoming celebrations, the brand has curated a selection of treats packaged to reflect the vitality and progress symbolised by the horse, with many items accompanied by a limited-edition scarf to serve as a keepsake of well-wishes and prosperity.

The highlight of this year’s savoury offerings is the newly introduced Applewood Bak Kwa, positioned as a premium delight for festive gatherings.
Priced at S$68.80 for a 480g box, this seasonal favourite features smoked over fragrant applewood and marinated with the brand’s in-house blend. Each slice is individually vacuum-packed for freshness.

It arrives in an auspicious horse-themed gift box, making it a luxurious option for gifting alongside their standard Traditional Bak Kwa and Truffle Bak Kwa options.

For those with a sweet tooth, a crowd favourite has returned by popular demand.
The Mandarin Orange Pineapple Tarts, priced at S$45.80 for 12 pieces, blend tangy mandarin with luscious pineapple jam inside a signature buttery crust. This combination plays on the Hokkien term for pineapple, “Ong Lai,” and adds the mandarin as a symbol of wealth to create a truly auspicious centrepiece.

These tarts are joined by other variations, including Original, Truffle Bak Kwa, and Assorted flavours, all presented in beautifully designed boxes that include the exclusive Year of the Horse scarf.

Adding to the snack selection are the brand-new Egg Rolls, retailing at S$9.80. These crispy treats are now presented in packaging that features iconic Singapore landmarks.

Beyond these snacks, Old Seng Choong continues to offer nostalgic comfort through traditional cakes such as Red Date Cake, Yam Cake, and the classic Nian Gao, which are perfect for evoking the warmth of home during the season.

From now to 16 February 2026, customers who spend S$88 or more in a single in-store transaction at Old Seng Choong can participate in a sure win Fortune Lucky Draw. Prizes include 999 gold charms, golden horse plush toys, and poker cards.
All items, except for Nian Gao, are gifted with the special Year of the Horse scarf, which features motifs of prosperity.
The collection is available at Old Seng Choong outlets at WEAVE in Resorts World Sentosa, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Paragon Shopping Centre, and Changi Airport Terminals 2 and 4, as well as online.
