The whole cinema went quiet when Sakurai did his thing. The brief moment was electrifying, sending goosebumps down my spine, in witnessing the blurring of line between the real world and the anime world.

Despite starting slow in pacing, the film quickly transformed into a visual fest mid-way, featuring emotional depth and breathtaking battles which will satisfy fans and new audience alike.

Infinity Castle is the first of a trilogy concluding the Demon Slayer saga.

In Japan, it shattered box office records, earning 10 billion yen (S$86.67 million) in just eight days, outpacing its predecessor, Mugen Train, which previously held the title of Japan’s highest-grossing anime film.

Since its manga debut in 2016, Demon Slayer has become a cultural phenomenon, with its anime adaptation and films breaking records and winning hearts globally. The story of Tanjiro Kamado’s quest to save his sister Nezuko and defeat the demon king Muzan Kibutsuji continues to resonate, blending action, emotion, and stunning artistry.
