Police investigations are ongoing.

In the early hours of 19 July, Fairuz’s wife, Hazura, received a phone call instructing her to head to Changi General Hospital (CGH), as the investigating officer required the next of kin to be present.

Hazura initially assumed her husband was injured and in the emergency department.

She rushed to the hospital, only to be met with devastating news — Fairuz had passed away.

He leaves behind his wife and four young children, aged between two and 16.

Speaking to Mothership, Hazura described Fairuz as a dedicated and hardworking man who always put others before himself.

“He was a kind, selfless person who always helped others, even when he was going through hardship himself,” she said, adding that the sudden loss has shattered their lives.

Appeal for Witnesses

Hazura is now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has dashcam footage to come forward.

“Your help could provide much-needed answers and closure for our family during this difficult time,” she said.

A family friend has also made a Facebook post seeking assistance from the public.

“We are pleading for any eyewitnesses who happened to be at the scene or have any dashcam footage of the accident.”

They are seeking information from anyone who drove by the slip road from Tampines Avenue 10, just before the Bedok Home Team NS, on 18 July at around 10:50pm.

“We would be very grateful if any information could be provided,” the post read.
