SINGAPORE, 17 OCTOBER 2025 – A 21-strong Singapore Women’s National Team squad will travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the October FIFA International Window to face Saudi Arabia in two matches on 25 and 29 October. These games form part of the team’s preparations for December’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Bangkok.

Several players have returned to the squad, providing experience and depth.

Danelle Tan, currently competing in Japan’s top-flight Women’s Empowerment (WE) Professional Football League with Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza, will link up with the team directly in Abu Dhabi.

Irsalina Irwan, who returned to football this year after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, has seven international caps and last featured in an AFC Under-20 tournament in August. She joined Mattar Sailors in the Women’s National League (WNL) this season and helped the team secure their second WNL title in September.

Several overseas-based players, including Unleash the Roar! scholarship recipients Yasmine Zaharin, Kyra Taylor, and Chloe Koh, along with 17-year-old Cara Chang, who scored her first senior international goal against Laos, also return to the squad.

Work and school commitments will see some players miss the UAE trip, including Lion City Sailors’ goalkeeper Izairida Shakira, who played all four matches in full minutes during the July’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers in Jordan.

But the squad’s goalkeeping department will be strengthened by Sailors’ Hazel Lim, who was part of the 2024 AFF Women’s Asian Cup squad that qualified for the 2025 ASEAN Women’s Championship, alongside Geylang International’s Alysha Nasrina and Tanjong Pagar United’s Elizabeth Tan.

The team will depart for Abu Dhabi next Wednesday, 22 October 2025.
