Formerly an imperial residence, Kronberg Castle Hotel or Schlosshotel Kronberg in German, is only 15 minutes away from Frankfurt am Main by car. Built in 1898, it was originally the castle residence of Empress Victoria Friedrich. Today, the 58ha property is privately owned by the House of Hesse and features only 61 spacious rooms for guests to have a taste of royalty. Pro tip: the hotel grounds are also home to an expansive rose garden best visited in spring.
