Mimi Yuliana Maeloa, a granddaughter of late Indonesian billionaire Eka Tjipta Widjaja, has purchased one of Singapore’s rare good class bungalows for S$25 million.

According to a property filing in late June 2025 seen by Bloomberg News, Maeloa acquired the bungalow, which spans almost 767 sq m, in Chatsworth Avenue, close to the Orchard Road shopping belt.

Maeloa, a Singapore citizen, is the daughter of Sukmawati Widjaja, also known as Oei Siu Hoa. Sukmawati is one of Widjaja’s children.

The late tycoon built a multi-billion-dollar empire with interests in paper, pulp, and financial services before his death in 2019.

Maeloa previously worked at investment banks, including Goldman Sachs Group. She has been a director at Top Global, a property firm run by her family, since 2010.

She also directs SW Global Management, a family office registered in 2022.

The bungalow’s seller, Raymond Phee, is chief executive of a local distributor of electrical appliances and stationery, based on property and corporate filings.

Located in a designated good class bungalow area, the property is part of an exclusive zone reserved for luxurious mansions.

There are about 2,800 such homes in Singapore, and foreigners face strict rules to buy them, including securing government approval.

Earlier in 2025, a mansion in Tanglin Hill set a new record when it sold for S$93.9 million to a Malaysian banking scion.

That transaction valued the property at S$6,197 per sq ft, over twice the rate for the Chatsworth Avenue house.
