Their persistence was rewarded late on. Faizal Mohamed pulled one back in the 80th minute, and in added time Ahmad Danish struck to make it 2–2, forcing extra time.

The game’s decisive moment came in the 122nd minute when Haziq Jantan rose to head home, securing Gymkhana’s victory and the IWL title.

The result capped an impressive campaign for Gymkhana, who finished as the most prolific side in the competition with 33 goals scored while sharing the best defensive record, conceding only six times in nine matches.

As IWL finalists, both Gymkhana FC and Tanah Merah United FC earned promotion to the Singapore Football League Division Two for the 2026 season.
