The newly reopened Temasek Shophouse came alive this weekend with the return of GREEN-HOUSE 2025, Singapore’s largest sustainability-led retail festival, held from 8 to 9 November 2025.

We attended the preview yesterday, and the space was bustling with activities, workshops, live showcases, and creative energy. What began as a pop-up has now evolved into a full-fledged movement, anchored by a three-year partnership with Temasek Shophouse that positions it as Singapore’s homeground for climate action.

This fourth edition brings together over 80 brands and partners across nine immersive zones, each reimagining familiar home spaces like the living room, kitchen, and bedroom through a sustainability lens.

Visitors can also take part in more than 40 free workshops and talks, all designed to make sustainable living fun, accessible, and hands-on.

A clear crowd favourite was the life-sized 3D-printed Mercedes-Benz G-Class, made from 40,531 discarded PET bottles (580kg of rPET) by Hong Kong design studio Editecture. The striking installation headlines Mercedes-Benz’s “Engineered for Impact” showcase, challenging visitors to rethink plastic waste as a valuable resource.

Beyond visual spectacle, the festival also carries a strong environmental and social mission. This year, GREEN-HOUSE expands its focus from forests to reefs, pledging full proceeds from a new coral conservation merchandise line to NParks’ 100K Coral Initiative. The collection is crafted by upskilled artisans from Metta Welfare Association, in collaboration with SG Enable and ART:DIS.

Throughout the shophouse, brands offered thoughtful, eco-conscious products and plenty of interactive experiences. Local granola brand Omollomo was a big hit with visitors, featuring gluten-free, plant-based snacks in colourful pacakging.

For those looking to learn practical skills, workshops will be running non-stop through the day, including sessions on turning discarded materials into useful items and discussions on low-carbon design. This includes Samsung’s “Eat Well, Live Smart” cooking workshops, featuring Loaded Gun Kitchen, where participants can pick up easy tips for reducing kitchen waste and living more consciously at home.

With its new home at Temasek Shophouse, GREEN-HOUSE cements its evolution from pop-up to platform, one that connects creativity, commerce, and community in equal measure. Do not miss this if you are looking for something meaningful to do this weekend.
