East Coast GRC was officially called for the People’s Action Party (PAP), which secured 58.76 per cent of the vote, defeating the Workers’ Party (WP), which received 41.24 per cent.
The PAP team, led by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong, garnered 79,664 votes, while the WP team received 55,912.
A total of 135,576 valid votes were cast. East Coast GRC has 150,691 registered electors.
The PAP slate comprised Edwin Tong, Tan Kiat How, Jessica Tan, Hazlina Abdul Halim, and Dinesh Vasu Dash.
The WP team consisted of Yee Jenn Jong, Nathaniel Koh, Paris V. Parameswari, Sufyan Mikhail Putra, and Jasper Kuan.
