SINGAPORE, 25 NOVEMBER 2024 – BG Tampines Rovers walloped Tanjong Pagar United to ensure they end 2024 on top of the Singapore Premier League (SPL) table, while Geylang International produced a brilliant comeback win against Hougang United to go within two points of second-placed Lion City Sailors. Once Faris drilled in a well-placed volley to put BG Tampines ahead, there was to be no way back for the away side. Kunori then doubled the advantage with a deflected shot, before Kweh made it three with an acrobatic volley off Jared Gallagher’s cross. Kopitović then turned well to thump in a fourth, before converting from the spot to complete his brace – and an emphatic victory for the Stags.

Eagles consolidate third spot

Račić finished off Farhan Zulkifli’s low ball, before Yokoyama rifled in a fine finish as Hougang led by two goals after the first half-hour. However, Geylang rallied with Doi pulling one back through a deflected shot. Taniguchi restored parity with a gorgeous curling finish, before captain Pereira sealed a stunning comeback win for the Eagles with a stunning volley from just outside the area.
