Food from the Heart (FFTH) wrapped up its annual Toy Buffet 2025 transforming ITE College Central into a vibrant carnival for over 2,000 children aged 5 to 12, including beneficiaries of the Ministry of Education’s Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) and local social service agencies. Under the theme “Colour Chronicles: Choose a Hue, Discover You!”, kids spent the day playing games, enjoying performances, and picking toys from a trove of over 12,000 new and pre-loved donations.

The event was graced by Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the Ministry of Law, highlighting how kindness can come full circle. Each toy was wrapped with care by volunteers and partners, accompanied by a handwritten dedication card from donors, turning every gift into a personal message of encouragement.
Generosity in Action
This year, 1,600 volunteers rallied to bring the Toy Buffet to life, supported by 30 corporate and school partners, including returning supporters such as SingPost, DHL Express, OCBC Bank, IKEA, and ITE. Volunteers helped run toy drives, set up themed booths, guide children through activities, and coordinate games and performances.
Each booth represented a colour zone: orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and red; creating a rainbow walkway symbolising unity through diversity. Sponsors also contributed goodies for every child, including Kinder Joy, Sanrio stationery sets, MARIGOLD apple juice, painted tote bags, and other thoughtful treats.
Empowering Women, Supporting Communities
Toy Buffet 2025 also partnered with the newly-launched YWCA Hopemaker Movement, recognising women as creators of hope in their families and communities. Through the Hopemaker: Women’s Business Accelerator (HWBA) programme, women from challenging backgrounds gain skills, mentorship, and funding opportunities to build resilient, purpose-driven ventures.
Unclaimed toys are distributed to children’s homes and lower-income families through FFTH’s Community Food Pack programme, ensuring no child misses out on the festive cheer.
Celebrating Kindness
Featured under MCCY and Mediacorp’s “One Nation, Many Acts of Kindness” initiative, Toy Buffet 2025 embodies FFTH’s mission of nurturing a culture of kindness and shared responsibility, one act, one toy, and one child at a time.
