The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

This incident marks the second industrial fire reported in May.

The earlier case occurred on 9 May in Tampines, involving textile items in a building.

In April, another warehouse blaze was reported in Pioneer.

According to SCDF’s annual statistics released on 13 February, 98 fires occurred at industrial premises in 2024, down from 106 in 2023.

SCDF responded to total of 1,990 fires last year, marking a 1.8 per cent increase from 2023.

SCDF attributed the overall rise in fire cases to more incidents at commercial, social, and communal premises.
