Police confirmed that the 38-year-old motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

A 50-year-old lorry driver is currently assisting with investigations.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) also confirmed that it was alerted to the incident and transported one person to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Sister Appeals for Public Help

On 22 July, the victim’s sister, Ng Sher Ren, took to Facebook to appeal for witnesses.

She shared that her brother had been riding his motorcycle, with the licence plate FBB8556B, when the accident occurred.

“My beloved brother, Ng Sir Kiat, was involved in this tragic accident and has sadly passed away,” she wrote.

According to her post, the lorry driver claimed he had been driving slowly in lane five and only felt an impact on the rear left side of his vehicle.

However, on the final night of Ng’s wake, the family received a message from a witness who offered a different account.

The witness alleged that the lorry had veered into Ng’s lane, forcing him to brake abruptly and fall.

Ng is now urging anyone who was driving along the CTE that morning to come forward.

“If you were driving on the CTE that morning and saw anything — or if you have dashcam footage — please help us seek the truth,” she pleaded.

She also provided her Facebook and Instagram accounts as points of contact for anyone with relevant information.

“We are deeply grateful for any information you can provide. Thank you for your kindness and support during this painful time,” she added.
