As the Lunar New Year draws near, Din Tai Fung ushers in the season of renewal with a thoughtfully curated menu of auspicious delights, symbolising smooth strides and flourishing beginnings. From the return of its much-loved Prosperity Yu Sheng to new festive dishes and elegant gift-worthy pastries, the iconic restaurant brand is set to elevate celebrations at the table.
New Festive Creations to Savour

From 5 January 2026, Din Tai Fung introduces two new offerings available islandwide. Making its seasonal debut is the Glutinous Rice Cake in Crispy Pastry (3pcs, $8), a festive treat inspired by nian gao, a homophone for growth and progress. Soft, chewy glutinous rice wrapped in a light, crisp pastry delivers a satisfying contrast of textures and a gentle sweetness that feels right at home during Lunar New Year feasts.

Also joining the menu as a permanent addition is the Mixed Greens & Mushroom Xiao Long Bao ($10.30 for 6pcs | $13.80 for 10pcs). Crafted with finely chopped mustard greens, broccoli and mushrooms, each dumpling is meticulously wrapped in Din Tai Fung’s signature 18-fold skin. Light yet flavourful, this vegetarian-friendly creation reflects the brand’s finesse and will be available year-round.
Toss to Prosperity with Signature Yu Sheng
No Lunar New Year is complete without a joyful toss, and Din Tai Fung’s trio of Prosperity Yu Sheng returns to bring luck and abundance to the table.

The Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng ($58.80) offers a refreshing mix of crisp vegetables and silky smoked salmon for a bright start to the festivities. For those seeking indulgence, the Abundance Abalone Yu Sheng ($88.80) layers shredded vegetables, roasted sesame seeds, crushed peanuts and signature crispy yam strips with smoked salmon, finished with tender abalone. A vibrant alternative, the Vegetarian Prosperity Yu Sheng ($53.80) is brought together with Din Tai Fung’s in-house plum dressing, delivering a balanced sweet-tangy lift.
Customise your platter with festive add-ons such as auspicious plum, crispy yam strips, smoked salmon, fried salmon skin or abalone. Each Yu Sheng set also comes with limited-edition Din Tai Fung red packets and a mascot coin pouch, perfect as festive keepsakes.

The Yu Sheng range will be available for pre-order from 2 January 2026 via Din Tai Fung’s e-store, and in-store from 23 January to 1 March 2026 at participating outlets. Early bird pre-orders placed between 2 and 22 January 2026 enjoy 15% off, while purchases made via the BreadTalk Group app will receive an $8 Din Tai Fung e-voucher for a future visit. From 23 January to 3 March 2026, DBS/POSB cardmembers can also enjoy exclusive Yu Sheng discounts.
Festive Treats for Gifting and Sharing

Marking the season of new beginnings, Din Tai Fung unveils a new retail offering on 14 January 2026 – Longan Cakes (10pcs, $35.80). Made with premium longans sourced from Dongshan, Tainan, these are slowly wood-fired to bring out a gentle smoky aroma and natural sweetness, before being encased in a golden pastry for a smooth, balanced bite.

Also available are the brand’s beloved Pineapple Cakes ($32.80 for 10pcs), made with Taiwan’s prized Golden Diamond pineapple and a rich, buttery crust. With no added fragrances or preservatives, these timeless pastries make a perfect addition to reunion gatherings and festive gifting.
