Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices dropped across most categories in the latest bidding exercise held on 21 May 2025, with the exception of commercial vehicles.
Premiums for Category A cars — those up to 1,600cc and with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp — fell to S$102,501, down from S$103,009 in the previous round.
For Category B, which covers larger and more powerful cars, COE prices dropped to S$116,988 from S$119,890.
The Open category, typically used for larger vehicles, declined slightly to S$118,010 from S$118,889.
Motorcycle COEs also decreased marginally, dipping by S$2 to S$8,707.
In contrast, COEs for commercial vehicles rose to S$63,189, up from S$62,590.
There were 4,432 bids submitted, with 3,060 certificates available.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) recently announced an increase in the COE quota for the May to July period. The total number of certificates available will rise to 18,232, compared with 17,133 in the previous quarter.
This reflects a 21 per cent year-on-year increase, following an 8 per cent rise in the earlier quarter.
