A Radiant Tribute to ‘60 Years of Homecoming’

Before the walk commenced, Minister Siow officially launched the SG60 light-up at Changi Airport Connector. Titled ‘60 Years of Homecoming’, the glowing display stretches along Airport Boulevard, showcasing beloved national icons such as Gardens by the Bay, the Merlion, Toa Payoh’s Dragon Playground, and the Changi Control Tower — all illuminated by over 100 kilometres of LED lights. A stunning arch in the colors of the national flag marks the climax of the display, which will remain lit until year’s end, greeting travelers and visitors alike.

The two-kilometre Charity Walk started from Terminal 2’s Race Village, inviting participants to enjoy nostalgic installations, glowing light sticks, and interactive trivia along the route. Local treat-themed photo ops — from kueh lapis to durians and curry puffs — brought smiles and snaps, while classic snacks like iced gem biscuits and ice cream sandwiches added a flavorful touch of nostalgia.

At the finish line in Terminal 4, participants received exclusive souvenirs, including a commemorative SG60 medallion and a plush keychain of Buddy Bear or Mr Merlion. For those up for more fun, an optional detour to Jurassic Mile offered a whimsical twist with dino-themed light installations and a hidden checkpoint.
