Rolled out in May 2025 and now available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in over 150 countries, Veo 3 has already sparked a wave of imagination. In just seven weeks, more than 40 million videos have been created through Gemini and Google’s AI filmmaking tool, Flow — from influencer-style fairy tale reinterpretations to surreal ASMR moments like slicing through molten lava.

With the new photo-to-video tool, transforming a still image into a moving story is simple:
- Open Gemini and select “Videos” from the prompt menu.
- Upload a photo and describe the scene — including any sound elements you want to add.
- Watch as your photo becomes an animated, sound-enhanced short video.
