SINGAPORE, 22 FEBRUARY 2025 – The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) hosted the inaugural Amateur Awards Night 2024 at the SportSG Auditorium (BlackBox), a landmark event that celebrated the achievements of players and coaches across the Singapore Football League (SFL 1 and 2), Women’s Premier League (WPL), and Women’s National League (WNL).
Manami Fukuzawa of Albirex Niigata (S) dazzled throughout the season and was crowned Deloitte Player of the Year, complementing her Golden Boot win after netting an impressive 23 goals.
Geylang International’s rising star Farah Nurzahirah clinched the Young Player of the Year award, while her coach, Ratna Suffian, was honoured as Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to a remarkable third-place finish in his debut season, a marked improvement from the 2023 season when they were second from bottom.
Still Aerion defender Uraiporn Yongkul’s strike against Balestier Khalsa earned her the Goal of the Year award, while 17-year-old Izairida Shakira’s commanding performances between the posts for Lion City Sailors saw her claim the Golden Glove award.
Hougang United was recognised for their sportsmanship with the Fair Play Award.
For the first time, the WNL was included in the annual awards, and Eastern Thunder’s goalkeeper Nur Izyan Ahmad won both the Player of the Year and Golden Gloves awards.
18-year-old Nor Adriana Lim, the season’s top scorer with 15 goals, secured both the Young Player of the Year and Golden Boot titles.
Amos Boon, who guided Eastern Thunder to an impressive second-place finish, was named Coach of the Year. Meanwhile, Mattar Sailors and Royal Arion shared the Fair Play Award for their exemplary sportsmanship.
In the SFL 1, Yishun Sentek Mariners’ midfield maestro Farouq Farkhan was named Player of the Year, while Singapore Cricket Club’s tactician Steven Tan was recognised as Coach of the Year. Zulkiffli Hassim of Yishun Sentek Mariners FC clinched the Golden Boot with nine goals, and 2024 season champions Singapore Khalsa Association walked away with the Fair Play Award.
For SFL 2, Jungfrau Football Club had a night to remember, with Afiq Noor claiming Player of the Year and head coach Halis Shafik taking home the Coach of the Year accolade. The Golden Boot went to Sadik Said of Starlight Soccerites, who found the back of the net 10 times, while GFA Sporting Westlake received the Fair Play Award.
