The inaugural Business Aviation Asia Forum and Expo (BAAFEx), held from 4 to 6 March 2025, at Singapore’s Changi Exhibition Centre, attracted over 2,000 attendees from 56 countries, exceeding turnout expectations from the organisers.

“The consensus among exhibitors, sponsors, and trade visitors is that the inaugural show exceeded their expectations,” Shared Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of Experia Events, the organiser behind BAAFEx, highlighting the positive feedback from participants. Exhibitors are said to have reported a high volume of quality business meetings, translating into promising sales opportunities.

The Asia Pacific region stands as the world’s third-largest market for business aviation, boasting approximately 1,600 aircraft. Projections by the Aviation Week Intelligence Network anticipate this fleet will expand to over 1,900 business jets by 2034, reflecting an annual compound growth rate of 2.1%, outpacing the global average of 1.4%.
Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services in the region are also on an upward trajectory. Forecasts indicate a compound annual growth rate of 4.1% from 2025 to 2034 for Asia Pacific’s business aviation MRO sector, surpassing the global average of 3.2%.
Post-pandemic, business jet flying hours in Asia Pacific have surged, currently 41% higher than in 2019. This resurgence underscores the region’s robust recovery and growing demand for business aviation services.
Despite its market size, Asia Pacific previously lacked a dedicated international business aviation event. BAAFEx was conceived to address this void, providing a platform for companies to showcase their latest products and services to a regional audience.
BAAFEx 2025 offered a multifaceted experience, encompassing:

- Exhibition: A showcase of cutting-edge aviation products and services.

- Expert Panels & Keynote Speakers: Twelve conference sessions over three days featured 46 speakers sharing insights and expertise, with many sessions nearing full capacity.

- Aircraft Displays: On-site aircraft exhibitions allowed attendees to experience the latest in aviation technology firsthand.
- Networking Opportunities: The event facilitated connections among industry professionals, fostering collaboration and business development.
Looking Ahead to 2027
Buoyed by the success of its inaugural edition, plans for BAAFEx 2027 are already underway. Several exhibitors have committed to participating in the next event, anticipating an even larger and more impactful gathering.
