As competition continues to heat up in the growing mobile computing space, Asus Looking to take things to the next level. ROG Ally has proven itself to be a A worthy competitor to Steam Deckand is ready to step up to the plate with a new, revised iteration: the ROG Ally X.
He teased in a short while ROG StreamThe back will be available in the new black color. It's not the ROG Ally 2 — The device is set to ship with the same AMD Z1 Extreme chipset, 7-inch 120Hz display, but battery life has been upgraded. Additionally, users can expect some tweaks to storage options, redesigned joystick modules, and a more repair-friendly design.
“Not everything is changing but there are significant improvements across the board,” said ASUS employee Jake Kulinsky. “The battery has been improved, and it's no small battery improvement. Improvements to storage, RAM, ports and probably other physical changes to the device itself.
Details are light at the moment, with a full reveal scheduled for June 2. according to the edge, the price of the ROG Ally X will start at a higher price than the original one. The SD card slot has also reportedly been moved.
Meanwhile, a new version of the Armory Crate is expected to launch sometime in July. Aside from some new tabs and navigation tools, the software will allow users to share console map profiles, similar to Steam Deck.
