Aston Martin has shifted gears from high-performance automobiles to high-end living with the launch of N°001 Minami Aoyama, its first bespoke private residence in Asia. Nestled in Tokyo’s prestigious Omotesandō neighbourhood, the four-storey townhouse marks a bold collaboration between the British luxury brand and Japan’s leading developer, VIBROA Inc.

Building on its growing portfolio of exclusive residential projects—such as Aston Martin Residences in Miami and The Astera on Al Marjan Island—this latest project brings Aston Martin’s unmistakable design DNA to life in a wholly new dimension. Every inch of the 724-square-metre residence reflects the marque’s dedication to craftsmanship, performance, and elegance.

Spread across three levels and a spacious basement, N°001 Minami Aoyama offers an urban retreat designed for those who seek both sanctuary and style. The residence blends luxury with functionality, featuring three en-suite bedrooms, a private spa, a gym, a wine cellar, and a golf simulator—all hidden within a sloped site that maximises space through clever underground construction.

A standout feature is the automotive gallery, showcasing two cars as curated masterpieces beneath a wave-textured metal ceiling and adaptive lighting. The vehicles are visible through a custom vision panel that connects the gallery to the lounge, merging art and engineering in one dramatic sweep.

A Symphony of Light and Material

From the moment one steps through the vertically aligned metal louvers that adorn the façade, light becomes an essential player. These chamfered fins provide dynamic visual shifts throughout the day while ensuring privacy and intrigue. Inside, the architectural journey mimics a passage from shadow to light—culminating at a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, including the iconic Tokyo Tower. Here, guests can enjoy sunset gatherings, an outdoor Onsen, and lush green roof elements.

At the heart of the vertical design lies a sculptural steel staircase, inspired by origami, which flows between the basement and ground floor, wrapping around an internal garden and lit by a striking pendant chandelier.

The Aston Martin Touch in Every Detail

The interiors are a masterclass in bespoke luxury. From Molteni&C kitchen cabinets in black lava stone and grey oak, to pewter and nebula steel accents, every finish is carefully curated. The residence comes outfitted with premium Italian furnishings, many of which were custom-designed under Aston Martin’s direction.

A state-of-the-art Bowers & Wilkins audio system—integrated throughout the home—brings the sonic quality found in Aston Martin vehicles into every room. The spa on the first floor features Hinoki wood finishes, a bespoke sound system, and a serene terrace with its own outdoor Onsen pool.

A Bold Step into Asia’s Luxury Market

The completion of N°001 Minami Aoyama marks Aston Martin’s expanding footprint in Asia, following the opening of its Ginza showroom at The Peninsula Tokyo in Spring 2024. With holistic lifestyle offerings—including concierge services, private banking, and family education support—VIBROA and Aston Martin are redefining luxury living for the modern elite.
