In a new YouGov study commissioned by Amazon Singapore, local shoppers revealed what’s shaping their purchasing decisions this holiday season. Interestingly, that number drops to 28% when buying for others, showing that Singaporeans are happy to spend more when it comes to loved ones.
Trust also plays a major role online. Half of shoppers aged 25–34 say honest reviews and verified ratings directly influence what they buy. Across all age groups, transparent pricing (38%) and authentic sellers (31%) remain key to confident purchases.
