Suntec City has come alive with the vibrant rhythms, flavours, and stories of Borneo, as the Sarawak Mega Fair 2025 takes over Tower 1 & 2 atrium until 19 October. From traditional performances to artisanal treats, this immersive cultural showcase celebrates the rich heritage of Sarawak’s many tribes right in the heart of Singapore.

The fair opened with a dazzling display of music and movement, as tribal performers invited visitors to join their joyful dances. One of the highlights is the Sarawak Belangi dance, a traditional performance from the Bidayuh tribe. Inspired by the flight of an eagle, its sweeping gestures evoke strength, grace, and a deep connection between earth and sky.

Of course, no Sarawak celebration would be complete without food. Indah House Kuching, a social enterprise empowering young women, is presenting its signature artisanal snacks under the “Indah” brand. Founder Trudy Tan is personally sharing her gluten-free tempeh treats, a crunchy, wholesome taste of Sarawak’s culinary heritage.

Adding a spirited note, third-generation maker Brandon Then is pouring MD2 Pineapple Tuak, a traditional rice wine infused with ultra-sweet Sarawak Gold SG1 pineapples grown on his family’s plantation. Each bottle captures the island’s lush bounty and community spirit, available exclusively at the fair this weekend.
