Warm amber is the fragrance trend to know in 2026. But whether you prefer stronger resinous, woody and amber notes, or the subtle, unobtrusive “skin scents” that emerged in 2025, there are plenty of options for those seeking highly personal fragrance.
The Jo Malone collection is designed to be layered, allowing personalised combinations of well-loved scents. EveryHuman, the algorithmic perfumery, uses an advanced personality test to create one-of-a-kind blends from a library of thousands of accords.

However, a unique fragrance needs to be crafted by an expert nose. Taking method acting to the next level, Hollywood’s finest head to Azzi Glasser’s bespoke atelier at The Perfumer’s Story to create custom scents solely for their next character role.
Meanwhile, Floris London has been creating bespoke scents for British royalty, Prime Ministers and notable individuals since 1730. At Jermyn Street, they offer fragrance customisation and a fully bespoke service over multiple consultations. In the private perfumery, clients are welcomed with a glass of champagne, invited to see and touch the near 300-year history of the house, and to smell a range of foundation scents from the archive. “This brings back memories,” says Anna Gilchrist, Fragrance and Bespoke Executive at Floris.

“We are choosing the direction of the fragrance. Then we choose the accords we would like to add, guided by the client’s tastes and the perfumer’s expertise. Once we have decided on the final formula, the client is given the opportunity to name the fragrance and enter it into the ledgers. Whenever they would like to reorder their fragrance, it will be hand poured in the same room and is exclusively available to them.”
With so many perfumes to choose from, Gilchrist has the following advice for anyone searching for their perfect scent:
“Fragrances are subjective and clients often describe what they want in terms of how they would like to feel wearing it. We recommend going slowly and paying attention to how each fragrance responds on your skin. Always try a range rather than sticking to one fragrance family, because you may be surprised by what you like.”
