The second edition of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Amateur Awards Night was hosted at the Raffles Town Club on Saturday, 17 January, celebrating the achievements of players and coaches across the Singapore Football League (SFL 1 and 2), Women’s Premier League (WPL), and Women’s National League (WNL)

.

Ruriko Takshima feted for sensational season in WPL 

 

Ruriko Takashima (Albirex) wins the Golden Boot and Player of the Year award, which were presented by FAS Vice-President Tan Li Yu.

 

In the WPL, Albirex Niigata (S) midfielder, Ruriko Takashima, enjoyed a standout season following her experience in Japan’s Nadeshiko League 1 in 2025. The 35-year-old made an immediate impact, scoring an impressive 29 goals to clinch the WPL Golden Boot, and she was also named Player of the Year after a dazzling campaign.

 

After narrowly missing out last year, Lion City Sailors’ 18-year-old Sarah Zu’risqha clinched the Young Player of the Year award. Still Aerion’s Jeremy Chiang was named Coach of the Year after leading his side to second place in the WPL, marking the club’s first top-three finish since 2016.

 

Geylang International’s Kyra Taylor won the WPL Goal of the Year award for her superb long-range effort against Hougang United in Matchweek 9, while Aerion’s Lutfiah Hannah claimed the Golden Glove award after recording seven clean sheets across the WPL season.

 

Albirex, Hougang United and Tiong Bahru FC were joint winners of the WPL Fair Play Award.

 

Mattar Sailors clinch two major WNL awards

 

Nur izyan (Eastern Thunder) wins her second Golden Glove award, with the award presented by FAS Deputy General Secretary Aloysius Vetha.

 

In the second tier WNL, Eastern Thunder’s Nur Izyan Ahmad continued her fine form between the posts, winning the Golden Glove award for the second consecutive year. Jungfrau Punggol’s Serena Bok secured the Golden Boot with 15 goals. She also walked away with the Player of the Year gong. 

 

Mattar Sailors’ 15-year-old midfielder Remi Ogawa was named Young Player of the Year, while Head Coach Izz Haziq claimed the Coach of the Year award after guiding the team to their second consecutive WNL title. Eastern Thunder and GDT Circuit shared the WNL Fair Play Award.

 

Police SA, Warwick and Bishan score SFL awards 

 

Ilhan Noor (Police Sports Association) wins Player of the Year in the SFL 1 category, with the award presented by FAS Deputy President Desmond Ong.

 

In the SFL1, Police Sports Association’s (Police SA) Ilhan Noor, the club’s top scorer with 10 goals, was named Player of the Year. His coach, former Singapore international, Yahya Madon, picked up the Coach of the Year award. Police SA were also recipients of the Fairplay Award. Singapore Khalsa Association’s Fariz Faizal finished as the league’s top scorer with 11 goals to claim the Golden Boot Award.

 

Amirul Walid brings home the Player of the Year and Golden Boot awards in the SFL 2 category, with the award presented by FAS General Secretary Badri Ghent.

 

In the SFL2, Warwick Knights’ striker, Amirul Walid, enjoyed a stellar season, winning both the Player of the Year and Golden Boot awards after netting 24 goals.

 

Meanwhile, Bishan Barx’s Suwito Suma was named SFL 2 Coach of the Year after leading the side to their first-ever SFL 2 title, securing promotion to the SFL 1 for the 2026 season. Bishan Barx were also recognised with the Fairplay Award for their exemplary sportsmanship.
