Service 299 route to be extended from Dec 14 to improve connectivity in Tampines South

SINGAPORE: Bus Service 299 will operate on an extended route from Sunday, December 14, 2025, to provide improved connectivity for residents in Tampines South.

According to SBS Transit’s announcement, the service will be amended to have three additional bus stops along Tampines Streets 95 and 96. The new stops, which would be 74961, 74969 and 74979, are expected to offer residents shorter walking distances to public transport. It shall also help provide improved links to key amenities in the area.

Additionally, the extension aims to improve access within the growing Tampines South neighbourhood. New developments and community facilities have increased commuter demand; thus, this service extension seeks to help ameliorate that rising necessity.

In other—but related—news, SMRT will implement a route amendment for bus service 983 to better serve residents living around Keat Hong Close. According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SMRT, the service will be adjusted to call at two new bus stops along Keat Hong Close in both directions, enhancing access to Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang Bus Interchanges and MRT Stations.
