Punk rock aesthetics – eclectic art, exposed concrete walls and neon signs – meets fusion Chinese comfort food at BASTARD, a small gastropub tucked away in a Jing’An alley. The brainchild of chef Michael Janczewski and restaurateur Jiro Hsu, the ever-changing menu includes “bastardised” dishes such as crispy saliva chicken, stinky tofu tacos and Sichuan charcuterie stuffed chicken wings.
