Eat Spain Drink Spain brings together select restaurants in Singapore to feature authentic Spanish produce and wines, highlighting how Mediterranean flavours can shine even in a multicultural food destination like ours. We have already hit two participating restaurants, Movida Singapore at Raffles City and The Astor Grill at St. Regis Singapore to experience Eat Spain Drink Spain 2025, but because we love Spanish food so much, we decided to visit one more, Little Farms Bar & Grill at Serangoon Gardens.

The latter stepped into the limelight this October, teaming up with Ecolah, one of Singapore’s most trusted purveyors of organic, premium European produce, to create a dinner experience that transported diners straight to the sun-drenched coasts of Valencia and Andalusia.

For two exclusive nights only, Little Farms’ cosy Serangoon outpost hosted a 5-course Spanish dinner featuring dishes that included ingredients sourced and curated by Ecolah. The menu promised an authentic taste of Spain, prepared with the same freshness and transparency that defines Little Farms’ ethos.

Nestled in the heart of Serangoon Gardens, Little Farms Bar & Grill is already known for its focus on all-natural, minimally processed ingredients because of its grocer parent. The cafe-restaurant sits beside the Little Farms’ grocery store, giving diners the unique advantage of tasting what they can later buy, presenting a direct farm-to-table concept. With its alfresco seating, open kitchen, and friendly service, the restaurant balances laid-back charm with a sophisticated dining touch, making it an ideal stage for this Spanish culinary showcase.

Ecolah, a company born from a family-run business in Spain with more than 40 years of experience, has made it its mission to bring the best organic and natural products to Singapore’s discerning consumers. In fact, Ecolah was recently awarded the Spanish government’s Colmados from Spain certificate, one of only two companies in Singapore to receive this recognition.

This certification recognises and supports global food and wine stores that uphold authentic Spanish products, guaranteeing their quality and origin, and guiding consumers toward genuine Spanish gastronomy worldwide. It was Ecolah that supplied many of the night’s ingredients, including the olive oil used, octopus, artichokes, and artisanal cheeses.

Brands represented by Ecolah in Singapore includes La Catedral de Navarra (LC), the Spanish brand behind the preserved PDO Red Pepper Piquillo de Lodosa and PGI Artichoke of Tudela, both featured in the dishes we savoured for the night. These premium ingredients are also available for purchase at Little Farms’ market, allowing you to recreate a taste of Spain in your own kitchens.

The evening began with Jamón y Tomate, a deceptively simple but timeless Spanish classic. Little Farms’ rendition paired Montaraz Iberian Ham, a silky, nutty, aged ham with a bed of fresh, plum tomato spread atop a crispy baguette, drizzled with iO black olive oil.

The Octopus Carpaccio followed, featuring Ecolah’s Spanish octopus sliced into delicate, translucent rounds.

The dish was a visual delight, adorned with microgreens, crispy kale, and a whisper of smoked paprika aioli. Each bite offered a gentle smokiness complemented by briny sweetness.

The hearty highlight for our Spanish feast was the Paella Valenciana. At Little Farms, the paella arrived in a gleaming pan, radiating saffron’s golden hue and the comforting aroma of sofrito.

Tradtionally served with rabbit meat, this version featured French poulet, artichoke and snow peas, all simmered to perfection with a dash of lemon. The rice, infused with the essence of chicken broth and aromatic rosemary, had just the right bite, neither mushy nor dry. The addition of preserved piquillo peppers from La Catedral de Navarra added a subtle sweet and spicy kick that balanced the dish’s savoury depth.

Next came the Confit Artichoke Flower, a dish that surprised with its hearty layering of flavours. The artichoke was served with arroz amarillo, pearl onions, pickled mushrooms, and charred piparras.

The presentation was striking, an edible flower blooming from a bed of golden rice. To wrap, a Cheese & Charcuterie Platter showcased Ecolah’s fine selections: Mahón, truffle Manchego, Montaraz Iberian ham, Don Gastronom olives, and Obando picos (those irresistible little Spanish breadsticks).

The truffle Manchego was particularly memorable, marrying creamy nuttiness with earthy truffle notes. This wrapped up a beautiful culinary excursion to Spain for the palate.

Food and wine enthusiasts in Singapore are invited to explore the full line-up of events and rediscover Spain’s rich culinary heritage. More details can be found on the official campaign page: Eat Spain, Drink Spain Singapore 2025.
