The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) is celebrating two decades of empowering young talent through the arts with a landmark theatre production, HERE I AM., staged on 17 and 18 October 2025 at the SOTA Drama Theatre.

Produced by TRCL in collaboration with The Little Arts Academy and 10 Square Youth, the performance is both a celebration and a reflection, asking: What role do the arts play in society today, and how can we ensure every child has access to them?
Since its inception in 2005, BT BAF has provided arts education in music, dance, theatre, and visual arts to underserved children and youth aged 6 to 19. Delivered through The Little Arts Academy and 10 Square Youth, the fund has impacted more than 25,000 young lives, nurturing creativity, confidence, and resilience.
But barriers remain: from rising costs to lingering perceptions of the arts as a luxury. HERE I AM., written and directed by Vishnucharan Naidu, an alumnus of The Little Arts Academy, confronts these challenges on stage. Featuring both current beneficiaries and past recipients of BT BAF, the intergenerational performance weaves together voices of past and present, celebrating progress while questioning what lies ahead.
