Yakult Singapore is raising the bar for gut health with the launch of Y1000, its most concentrated probiotic drink to date. Packed with over 100 billion live probiotics per bottle, Y1000 expands the brand’s range of cultured milk drinks, giving Singaporeans an even stronger way to support digestive wellness and overall vitality.

A Science-Backed Innovation
Joining the lineup of Yakult Ace Light and Yakult Gold, Y1000 reflects Yakult’s 90 years of pioneering probiotic research and commitment to healthier lifestyles. At its core is Yakult’s unique Lacticaseibacillus paracasei strain Shirota (LcS) specially cultivated to survive digestion and reach the intestines alive. Once there, it works to boost beneficial bacteria, suppress harmful microbes, aid digestion, and strengthen the body’s natural defences.
Originally introduced in Japan, Y1000 is part of the Yakult 1000 series, which sells over 3 million bottles a day. Its effectiveness and popularity have already earned international recognition, including the Food Category Gold Award at the DIME Trend Awards and the X Trend Award in 2022.
Why Gut Health Matters
A balanced gut doesn’t just support digestion, it influences everything from nutrient absorption to serotonin production, which affects mood and energy levels. Strong gut health can also help reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and lower the risk of conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which affects one in five Singaporeans.
Expanding Yakult’s Probiotic Choices
With Y1000, Singaporeans now have more ways to choose the probiotic drink that fits their lifestyle:
- Yakult Ace Light – 30 billion LcS per bottle, 30% fewer calories, sweetened with Stevia.
- Yakult Gold – 10 billion LcS per bottle, with less sugar, vitamin D, and the Healthier Choice Symbol.
- Yakult Y1000 – 100 billion LcS per bottle, the most concentrated option yet.
Starting 1 October 2025, Yakult Y1000 will be sold individually at selected FairPrice outlets and Japanese supermarkets including Isetan Scotts and MEIDI-YA at Millenia Walk and Great World City, retailing at S$3.50 per bottle.
