Bishan Barx emerged as the 2025 Singapore Football League 2 (SFL2) champions for the first time after a thrilling final matchday last night (14 September), overcoming a late-season deficit to claim the title.
The race for the SFL 2 crown went down to the wire, with South Avenue SC and Bishan Barx both needing a win to secure top spot. Heading into the final matchday, South Avenue led the table with 44 points, while Bishan Barx was just behind on 42 points.
Bishan Barx faced Admiralty CSN at Clementi Stadium and were stunned just two minutes into the match when Admiralty converted an early penalty. But Bishan Barx responded emphatically, scoring four times before halftime and eventually running out 5-2 winners.
Meanwhile, South Avenue took on Warwick Knights at Jurong East Stadium. Despite having already secured third place, Warwick Knights – who finished the season as the highest-scoring team with 56 goals – claimed a 1-0 win over South Avenue.
Another positive for Warwick came as their striker Amirul Walid finished the season as the league’s top scorer with 24 goals.
The final-day results meant Bishan Barx leapfrogged South Avenue to clinch the championship, capping off a season where their balance between attack and defence was on full display.
Bishan Barx scored 55 goals across the campaign, conceded just 13, kept nine clean sheets, and saw top scorer Sahffee Jubpre contribute 22 goals to their tally.
