Scoot sets to broaden its reach with three exciting new destinations: Chiang Rai in Thailand, and Okinawa and Tokyo (Haneda) in Japan. Launching progressively from December 2025 to March 2026, the new services offer more travel choices for holidaymakers planning year-end getaways or new year adventures.

Chiang Rai, Thailand’s northernmost province, captivates with its mountain vistas, serene atmosphere, and rich Lanna heritage, reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and art. Scoot will operate five weekly flights to Chiang Rai from 1 January 2026 using the Embraer E190-E2.

Okinawa, Japan’s subtropical gem, boasts turquoise waters, sandy beaches, and UNESCO-listed cultural and natural wonders. Flights to Okinawa will begin 15 December 2025, operating three times weekly on Airbus A320 family aircraft. Meanwhile, Scoot’s new daily flights to Tokyo (Haneda), offering a convenient gateway into Japan’s vibrant capital will launch on 1 March 2026 aboard Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

One-way Economy Class fares start from SGD128 to Chiang Rai and SGD190 to Okinawa or Tokyo (Haneda), inclusive of taxes. Tickets are available now via Scoot’s website, mobile app, and other booking channels.

With these additions, Scoot will operate 111 weekly flights to Thailand and 45 weekly flights to Japan, expanding its network to 76 destinations across 18 countries and territories.

The airline is also ramping up frequencies on popular routes to meet rising travel demand:

  • Chiang Mai: 7 → 14 weekly flights (by Dec 2025)
  • Tokyo (Narita) via Taipei: 12 → 14 weekly flights (from Oct 2025)
  • Sapporo (via Taipei): 4 → 7 weekly flights (from Dec 2025)
  • Taipei: 23 → 25 weekly flights (from Oct 2025), then 28 (from Dec 2025)
  • Jeju: 5 → 7 weekly flights (from Jan 2026)
  • Vienna: 3 → 4 weekly flights (from Mar 2026)
