Lions resume Asian Cup Campaign against India; Tickets from $15 – Football Association of Singapore

SINGAPORE, 4 AUGUST 2025 – The Lions will return to international action at the National Stadium on Thursday, 9 October 2025, for their third Group C match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Qualifiers. The match kicks off at 7.30pm.

The fixture against India marks the first match in a double-header between the two sides during the October FIFA international window, with the Lions travelling to India for the return fixture on 14 Oct.

The match will mark Lions’ interim Head Coach Gavin Lee’s first outing in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers, as he looks to build on the foundation laid by former Head Coach Tsutomu Ogura.

Tickets are priced from $15, with sales to commence at 12pm on Friday, 8 August 2025 with an Early Bird sales period that will run until 16 August.

Singapore currently lead Group C, having secured four points from their opening two matches — including a 2-1 away victory against Bangladesh in June. Hong Kong, China also sit on four points in second place, followed by Bangladesh and India, who are on one point each.

The match against India will be a key opportunity for the team to consolidate their position at the top of the table, as they continue their push towards qualification for the AFC Asian Cup for the first time in the nation’s history.
