The Singapore Press Club Awards 2025 marked a significant milestone this year, unveiling 10 award winners at its first-ever standalone Awards Night on 14 July. Held independently from the annual Press Ball for the first time, the expanded event spotlighted excellence in journalism and media-related fields.

Minister for Digital Development and Information, Mrs Josephine Teo, graced the evening as Guest-of-Honour, delivering a keynote speech and presenting the prestigious trophies and prizes to the winners.

Launched in 2022 as part of the Club’s 50th anniversary, the awards recognise individuals who have demonstrated outstanding storytelling, impact, and professionalism across the media industry.

Winners received both a trophy and a 2-night hotel stay worth $1,000 at any MHR property, inclusive of breakfast for two.

In line with the growing importance of sector-specific journalism, the awards introduced three new categories:

Honouring Lifelong Contributions

The Singapore Media Industry Hall of Fame welcomed 10 new inductees, celebrating their outstanding contributions and decades-long careers. Eligible honourees must be at least 65 years old with a minimum of 25 years in media or related fields.

Since its inception, the Hall of Fame has recognised 75 media veterans, including 27 posthumous inductees, preserving their legacy for future generations.
