Nonetheless, Iman expressed his family’s appreciation for the compassion shown during his son’s final moments.

“Although he has since passed on, our family is deeply grateful to know that in his final moments, there were compassionate strangers who tried their best to help,” he added.

Iman is now hoping to get in touch with those who were present at the scene or anyone who may know them.

He urged them to contact him via text or call at 8793 8729, or to reach out to his wife at 8749 8857.

The family wishes to thank those individuals personally for their “courage, kindness, and effort”.

Accident Took Place on Tanah Merah Coast Road

In response to media queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that it was alerted to the accident at approximately 5.45am on 22 June.

The incident occurred along Tanah Merah Coast Road, in the direction of Xilin Avenue, and involved a motorcycle that is believed to have self-skidded.

Two individuals — the 19-year-old male rider and his 18-year-old female pillion rider — were conscious when they were taken to Changi General Hospital, according to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time.

Unfortunately, the rider subsequently passed away. The pillion rider sustained a fractured right leg and is currently recovering.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
